This year the Agility Nordic Championships will be held in Stockholm (Sweden) on Sunday 13.12.2009. Previously in September the Finnish National team won the World Championships in the medium category. The same team will be heading to the Nordics also. We wish them success and luck!

Kooikerhondje wins Finnish Championships in Agility The Finnish Championships were held in Tornio 14.6.2009. As last year, the gold medalist in medium class is kooikerhondje Frodo (Lucky Nana's Bromus) with Jari Suomalainen. Also in team class the kooikerhondjes had success. In the silver team competed Robi (Tretex Kilroy) with Jari Laitinen and in the bronz team Luka (Lucky Nana's Berberis) with Sami Oksa and Frodo (Lucky Nana's Bromus) with Jari Suomalainen. All results can be found in the organizer's website, but unfortunately only in Finnish. |  |

6. Kooikerhondje Special Club Show (DCK e.V.)
The new Board of the German Clubs for Kooikerhondje Association warmly invites you for socializing at the Club Show 2009 in Beckum (Germany), with the allocation of entitlements to German Champion (VDH), German Youth Champion (VDH), German Veteran Champion (VDH) and Club Champion (DCK).
On Saturday will be held also an agility competition and on Sunday we will walk together.
We would be very pleased to welcome many of our foreign friends in Beckum.

The general meeting of the club was held in Lahti 1.3.2009. The new committee was selected without any votings: - president: Saija Koskinen
- members: Anne Hirvonen, Kaisa Jalava, Kristiina Oksa, Kaisa Pelkonen, Sanna Pyykkönen, Erja Tikkanen, Kati Valjakka and Tiina Väli-Mattila
- vice-members: Monica Aakko and Marja-Liisa Lindell
- president of breeding committee: Tiina Rajala-Huusko
Kooikerhondje Club decided to apply the membership of Finnish Agility Association. |

In 2008 there were 77 new kooikerhondje registrations including record-breaking 11 imported dogs and 15 litters born in Finland. The total registrations since the first dog (1993) are now 616 and the yearly figures are shown in the picture below.
