In the blood tracking Finnish championships held in Heinola on Sunday 21.9.2008, the silver medalist was kooikerhondjebitch Golden-Fox Sindarella "Opri" with her handler Pentti Mamia. Congratulations! To get a place in the championships, Opri was first the champion of her district this year, then she won the tryouts on Saturday and got the place in finals. What makes it even greater, Opri is now 10 years old and is still going strong and showing her best to the youngers! |

The Finnish Agility Teams for both World and Nordic Championships were selected in Helsinki 26.-27.7.2008. The competition was based on faultless rankings on five courses. In medium class there were 97 participants. Pictures and videos can be found here (just scroll down): Suomen Agilityliitto. Two kooikerhondjes were qualified for the national team in medium class: Lucky Nana's Bromus "Frodo" with Jari Suomalainen and Lucky Nana's Berberis "Luka" with Sami Oksa. The third member of medium team is a novascotian, "Leija", with Rauno Virta.
In small dogs the qualification for a kooiker was also very near, one fault on dog-walk left Hannu Männistö and Estaika's Ihana Ineta "Neta" on the fifth place. However, this means that they are reserve dogs for Nordic Championships.
