In Finland, there is an ongoing research on canine genetics. This research collects pedigrees and DNA samples for many breeds with variety of diseases such as epilepsy, autoimmune diseases, cancers, vision disorders and behavioral problems. The kooikerhondjes are also participating in the project by giving blood samples. You can also participate in this project from abroad. Read more here
